Liddington – Day 1

We have had an amazing first day at Liddington. The children were all thrilled to be with their friends in their rooms and got settled in straight away. The first room inspection was very impressive with very tidy and organised rooms all round.

After lunch on the grass in the sun, we got into our activity groups and moved to our first activities. Groups 1 and 2 took part in archery and group 3 went on a sensory trail in the woods and played some games in blindfolds. All three groups enjoyed flying through the air on the giant swing, where we were so impressed with their adventurous spirit. Much fun was had by all!

After a delicious dinner of fish fingers, chicken in red pepper sauce, vegetable chow mein, chips, unlimited salad bar and strawberry jelly the children wrote their diaries and had some down time.

The children are taking part in an evening activity of ‘ambush’ where they are playing hide and seek in the dark in the woodland following trails and clues.

We are so proud of the way the children have started their residential trip, getting fully involved in all the activities and supporting each other with kindness. Fingers crossed everyone will sleep well tonight after a busy first day!
