Year 6 Windmill Hill 2018

We have arrived safely after a lunch stop at Littlehampton Beach, We have been given a tour of the site in Beautiful Weather and enjoyed singing and dancing at the campfire after a delicious dinner. We are now settling down for the night ready for our first day of activities tomorrow.

Day 1

Day 2

What a fantastic first full day! We woke up at a reasonable hour ( 7am!) and enjoyed a lovely breakfast. Then onto the activities!

Every group took part in canoeing today with Mr Robinson joining them on the water...The wettest person award goes to Mr Robinson! He thoroughly enjoyed throwing nearly every member of the class into the water and looks forward to doing it again tomorrow for raft building.

Group 1 & 2 also enjoyed a session of orienteering, a messy but fun tunnel trail under the ground and also a sensory trail where we all wore blindfolds and moved around a variety of obstacles.

Group 3 enjoyed climbing and abseiling from a very tall tower and rifle shooting. Mrs Scott was very good at it and we are all a bit scared now!!

We finished the day with the much anticipated room inspection then a fun nighttime game of snapshot where we used our torches to search for the location of photographs we were given.

We are now all enjoying the beautiful full moon while the children are settled down to bed.

7.20 breakfast tomorrow!!

Day 3

An early start for us all this morning with our wakeup call at 6.30am!!

Every group has taken part in another water activity today - raft building. We worked as a team to build a raft then all attempted to sit on it and ride across the lake..th oictures show how we got on!!

Groups 1 & 2, ( children and staff!) faced their fears on the climbing wall and abseiling tower. We also tested out agility on the challenge obstacle course!

Group 3 enjoyed sensory trail, searching for clues in orienteering and the muddy tunnel trail.

Our evening activity today was wacky races where we were all encouraged to dress up ''wackily''. We certainly fitted the theme!

Day 4

Another day in the perfect sunshine, this was good as we spent most of it in the air!

Or activities today included Jacob's ladder, zipwire, challenge course, rifle shooting and the much anticipated giant swing.

We finished our day with a quiz with highly competative teams including '' super staff'' watch this space for announcement of the winners.

We are now all in bed ready to enjoy are last day, and looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!
